Intelligence of Dogs and Cats
Pets have become so important in the lives of its owners, that different universities have been concerned in carrying out various studies on them.
Currently, pets, more studies are cats and dogs. Now it has been the University of Oxford, which conducted the study on the intelligence of dogs vs. cat’s intelligence.
For this study was a map of the evolving intelligence of the brains of many animals of different breeds. One of the first discoveries was the relationship between brain size and sociality of the animals.
The scientists studied more than 500 brains of different animals that live today and some extinct animals, all in the same period of time. After making all the studies, concluded that the brains that have evolved are the horses, dolphins, that of camels, and dogs.
It follows that the more advanced animals are living in social groups, and the least evolved are solitary animals, like cats, deer and rhinos. It is often said that cats are smarter because they run themselves and they manage very well, but it was found that dogs are smarter because they are social animals.
Was also the intelligence of dogs vs. cats intelligence has evolved at a pace much faster than the intelligence of cats, said the University of Oxford.
