When we choose to adopt a dog as the mascot of the home we have a dilemma: choosing the sex. It is not the same as having a male or female, since the behavior is very different. Usually associated with male dog as a better protector of the territory in which they live, but the dog is more protective of people in the house.
An important point to consider is the time of heat. Both male and female have a very peculiar behavior at the time, and must take certain precautions because they are capable of breaking everything in its path to escape.
A point in favor of the dog is behaving more hygienic than any dog at the time of their needs, and also tends to be much more sociable with people coming home. Usually the male is usually more suspicious and has a hard time adapting to those outside the family.
